And time marches on
The world continues to turn
The ground beneath our feet
And the stars in the sky
Never ending...
Winter bows to Spring
New life, the Earth awakens
With refreshed beauty
The cycle begins again
As it always does,
As it always will...Whether we are here
To bear witness
Or above to watch over
Those of us to follow
And that makes it easier
I will remember you
When the soft wind
Blows in my window
On a hot summer night
Or in the rain
As it washes away the sadness
That I feel sometimes...
